, joe scarborough. >> whatever, mika brzezinski. you know, the thing is, i heard all day yesterday afternoon, there was pushback from people that were saying that this app was not affiliated with the nra. and these were some of the same people that were trying to explain why they need assault weapons to protect their constitutional rights. their arguments are absolutely unbalanced. they really are. you look at the argument that assault weapons are protected. we hear this all the time by the second amendment. we hear that these high-capacity magazines are protected by the second amendment. they're not. it's right there in heller, scalia wrote it. and yet the nra has so programmed people that like buying a lot of these assault weapons to think, this is your constitution-protected right. james madison gave you this right when he helped draft the bill of rights. it's sheer ignorance of basic constitutional law. it's ignorance of what justice scalia said. and that app, forget about whether 4-year-olds can play it or 8-year-olds can play it or 12-year-olds can play it. >> exactly. >> i g

district, mika rothman was taking a nap on tuesday afternoon. a burglar apparently busted into her home, police say he stole laptops, credit cards and an iphone. an officer later spotted the alleged burglar looking suspicious. he used pictures on the iphone to track the stolen items back to the house rothman shares with her roommates. when police returned to the home, she was still sleeping. >> filecredibly lucky that he wasn't violent and that police did a good job getting our stuff back. >> police believe the burglar targeted the house because the security door was not closed. >>> a secretary of is on for a man who stabbed a man on a metro bus. the victim was stabbed twice in the chest. the attacker jumped off the bus when it got to 11th and h in northeast. the victim is expected to recover. police don't know if he know the attacker or if the stabbing was random. metro called in another bus to finish the route for the 60 passengers on board. >>> news4 has more from the live desk with breaking news. tonight? >> good morning. we're following breaking news out of south africa. two commut

debt was like being a climate change denier. >> i think actually mika started that analogy and paul krugman basically said the opposite. to me, being a debt denier is the same thing as being a climate change denier. we're putting tons of carbon in our atmosphere we have to deal with and incurring billions of debt everyday we have to deal with. they're the same problems. do you recognize they're problems and deal with them or sit and let them fester until something bad happens. >> what do you say about what paul krugman says, it's a problem but it won't be a problem until 20 years from now and let's not deal with the problem. >> in the order of magnitude we know the problem will be worse. about 60 trillion dollars of unfunded liabilities. the longer you wait the tougher it is. i get the argument the jobs in the economy are still weak and we need to deal with that. that's fine. you can have responsible proposals for dealing with that. larry summers put forward responsible ways to deal with that but we need to put in a framework how we want to deal with it. that's what bothered me that
